Galentines Spotlight: Andrea & Gabi

Welcome to our ‘Gym Besties’ series where we’re shining a spotlight on the amazing friendships we’ve seen blooming among our members in celebration of Galentine’s Day

How did you two meet?

A: We met online, so we were already friends.

G: We met through hinge, I somehow convinced Andy to join a silks block with me a few months later and now she’s more obsessed than I am!

What ways has training at ALT has improved your friendship?

A: We get to see each other more without having to make specific plans, plus we can share a water bottle if one of us forgets!

G: Seeing each other (mostly) weekly even when we’re too burnt out to make plans outside of classes & being silly together is always bonding.

What benefits have you seen from training at ALT?

A: It’s excellent for both mental and physical health, but doesn’t feel like a chore or like going to the gym. .

G: I finally found a way to strengthen my upper body that I don’t hate! It’s definitely a mood booster too.

What's your favourite thing about ALT?

A: How encouraging everyone is

G: Everyone is super friendly and it feels like a safe space.

What would you say to someone thinking about trying Aerial/ Pole/ ALT?

A: I’d say why isn’t silks on the list? 😁

G: Try it, it’s fun!

Anything else you want to add?

G: I’m glad I found a beautiful soul that turned loves board games and eating as much as I do. Also Andy has so many creative talents it’s mildly infuriating
